Made in VMI

Everyone agrees that 2009 hasn't left much of good memories in our minds and that 2010 couldn't but only be better. What is most disappointing about the economic crisis tales is that each one of us has to pick up the pieces for mistakes done by others, while we don't feel liable for it. We are not working fewer hours (quite the contrary) or for a lower value, yet results may be declining. In these times of uncertainty, it is wise to be extra vigilant, to show more ingenuity and to find methods that others won't think of in order to make a difference and continue, at the end, to earn the confidence that your customers have been able to offer you, year after year. The good thing of the times of crisis is that they force us to challenge ourselves and not depend on achievements that shouldn't be taken much for granted…
For VMI, 2009-2010 is a period of intense activity for developing new products and for innovating. We have never invested that much in R&D and we have never offered so many new machines over such a short period of time. Why, in your opinion? Simply because we believe this is what you expect from us. Someone once said: "True progress is a tradition that goes on." Another one said: "Tradition is progress in the past and progress will be the tradition in the future.” It is, in a way, the philosophy adopted by VMI since quite some time already: ensuring the continuity of tradition is done by improving it all the way. Today's baker still has the same purpose as the baker of yesteryear: produce bread bearing a quality appreciated by his customers. The way of producing this bread of quality, however, must now integrate considerations for productivity, diversity, safety and comfort of manufacturing; criteria which were nonexistent in the past.
In the following pages, you will find a number of factors that will help you understand how and why VMI mixers and beaters are not like any other mixers and beaters. They will explain why we owe you more efficient and better designed machines than other machines that are cheaper, maybe, but which don't generate enough satisfaction as ours do.
