Vacuum Injection of Powders in the Center of the Emulsifier

 

 

Several manufacturing procedures for chemical, cosmetic, pharmaceutical or food products distribute powder-like solids during the liquid or pasty phases of operations. The most widely used tool to perform this operation is a single or double cage rotor-stator for basic operations and desired thinness of emulsion.

VMI-Rayneri has developed a major innovation, based on the vacuum injection of powders directly into the center of the emulsifier, thus eliminating the main drawbacks of the other conventional procedures:

 

  • Immediate dispersion of powders upon injection:
    • no risk of agglomeration of powders,
    • no risk of projection of powders through the liquid phase.
  • Simple and immediate adjustment of the vacuum level independent of the volume of products in the tank.
  • Accelerated powders injection input.

  • Elimination of recirculation piping.
  • Elimination of zones that are hard to clean (dead zones).
